Centers of Competence

The Centers of Competence are interdisciplinary cross-faculty scholarly networks in which researchers and research groups of the University of Zurich coordinate their work according to strategic objectives. Some Centers of Competence are run by the University of Zurich together with other universities.
Blockchain Center
UZH Blockchain Center started its activities in 2017, and was formally established as a Competence Center in 2019. Since then, it has organised a wide range of academic, educational, and industry-related activities. It thus became the largest and most active academic cluster in Switzerland, a World-wide blockchain hub.
Center for Crisis Competence
The UZH Center for Crisis Competence (CCC) aspires to a leading role in advancing, and sharing scientific insights for the management of crises of all kinds.
Center of Competence for Sustainable Finance
The Center of Competence for Sustainable Finance (CCSF) is one of the biggest university centers dedicated to the research in sustainable finance bringing together approximately 20 researchers from the departments of banking, finance, informatics, geography mathematics, law, psychology, philosophy, and political sciences.
Center for Research in Sports Administration
The Center for Research in Sports Administration (CRSA) is a scientific network with the goal to support and coordinate top-level academic research in sports management, sports economics, sports administration, and adjacent areas at the University of Zurich.
